Kip! Kip! Horaaaayy!

So last week a buddy of mine posted a how to video on my Facebook page. After weeks and weeks of being frustrated with the Hand Stand Push Up......guess what?!...... I Got it!.....yes but only with a kip, but hey every little bit helps.....so now if those HSPU show there face in an open WOD I will be ready......

Sucka MC!!!!!!

Peer pressure will get you every time......I walked into crossFit cypress today just to hang out...I mean why not!? It's my home away from home.....I run into about five people doing the open WODS...nothing unusual riiiightttt....any who some how I get talked into giving the first WOD a run....in no way shape or form is my mind right for completing 7 min of burpees. I mean it takes a right mind set to tackle a burpee WOD, especially if your goal is 150......needless to say I checked my ego at the door.....my new goal is 90........

So the first WOD of the opens is a 7 min 6in burpee fiasco!!?..Really burpees for 7 mins....who does that!?....CROSSFIT DOES!......if you crossfit on a regular you know the joys of a single burpe,e, now just try to get 150 in 7mim. Yeah sounds crazy, but that is the goal will it get done who know!!! But that is the plan.........................

WOD opens!

So today the first WOD of the crossFit games will be released! A normal WOD sucks, so I can only imagine the insanity of this WOD. I'm totally excited and nervous all at the same time. Ironically lent and the opens start on the same day! So I guess for the next Five weeks I will be embarking on two different journeys in my life. At the end of them both I will be a different person. Hopefully healthier, more fit, and closer to my God. I will need him to get through both challenges.....wish me luck

Why me......




Why me!!! Someone hit me up last night and figured it would be a good idea that I of all people write a blog. This person believes that people should see that even as a crossFit trainer we struggle with movements, just like the "normal CrossFitter". I'm not really a writer, but I thought I could give it a shot. Like most people in the crossfit world, we struggle on simple things. Well let's not say simple, but we struggle on the things we think we should be awesome at. So my current struggle is the handstand push-up...ugh it really gets me. I remember doing a WOD about a month ago, and in it was HSPU.....I normally grab a plyo box and modify them. OOOOOhhhh nooooo wait a second there......you are past the point of modifying HSPU........needless to say a 15min WOD took me over 20mins. First of all I couldn't get my feet to stay up on the wall, and then I could only go down maybe a cm if that!!!!!......so to all my people out there just keep trying they suck!!! at least for now!!!! A work in progress....if at first you don't succeed try try try again.....
